Quick Jot Down
What if for a persistant world, (most likely an MMO) the character constructed their own biography that carried its own impact in the actual game. The player chooses their own story by selecting a prepared mad-lib story and pluggs in words from a word bank. Once this has been done, the game generates the backdrop for the player to run through in-game. Although this doesn't give the player full freedom over their character's story, it provides another layer of immersion to an otherwise stark medium.
